just got back from a nice run alone. It was nice to run in silence for once, not worrying about the pace, or how long i was going for, or where i was going. I set out at around 5:15 and headed down to the beach. i ended up going a little faster then expected, but that doesn’t really bother me much anymore, i dont mind going fast, but i like it the most when i can do it alone. I got down to the beach and decided i didn’t want to see anyone, so i ran past the beach and half way down trustees till i went off the side of the road and walked toward cottage number 5. It was so nice to be able to just walk and look around at what was going on, and enjoy the smell of the newly bloomed flowers and the old married couples walking side by side talking about what they were going to make for dinner. (one couple was making steak, it made me hungry at the time.) so i walked down to the water, the tide was very low, and i walked past all of the people sitting around and found my own spot that ahd a 15ft radius with no one around. I took off my shoes and waded a good 20 feet or so off the shore, with the water only coming up to my lower quads. I visited a man who was fishing and watched him for a little while observing the beauty of the sound and the boats zooming past. I walked paralel to the beach for a while then walked back to my shoes. I then walked back down trustees and admired the marshlands that were on my right, normally consumed with water, wishing i had a camera with me. Once i hit the main beach again i started running and bout 3/4 of a mile down the road i came in contact with 2 other runners, as i got closer i automatically recognized one of them as Annie by the way she runs and Jake was with her. I caught them at about mile 7 of their 15 mile run, and ran with them a little and then broke off to come home. it was really enjoyable overall, and it wasn’t forced, i never usually run on Sundays so this was nice. Off to go shower and find something to eat!
happy sunday!
